DEPARTMENTS

SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES

I feel ecstatic to introduce and welcome you to the Department of Science and Humanities, which is the foundation of engineering education. Our department plays a vital role in shaping the students personality and bridging the gap between school and college. The main aim of our department is to preparing the young minds to impart the basics principles behind every engineering concept. The department has well qualified and experienced teaching faculty members. Faculties of mathematics teach not only syllabus oriented but also competitive exam oriented. Students are trained in aptitude and numerical abilities to make them ready for all types of examination. Regarding physics basic principle applied in engineering is explained clearly with more demonstration.

Chemistry department faculties render their services to explain the applications of chemistry in engineering field. Through this, the students will become more aware of the relations between environment and engineering. The department of English plays a prominent role in developing students LSRW skills of English even from the very first year students. Apart from academics students are motivated to participate in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Every student is given individual care and parent meeting is conducted now and then. The flagship objective of the Department is to train the young minds to explore the new horizons.

The department has fully functioning labs covering

  • Physics Lab
  • Chemistry Lab

Research Wing

Our ACET research and development cell aims to nurture research culture in the College by promoting research in newly emerging and challenging frontier areas of Engineering, Technology, Science and Humanities. It enables a congenial environment for technological development and monitors the research activities of the college. The R&D Cell takes upon the responsibility of creating a work place to attract the best talent and strives continuously in pooling of skills and internal resources, creating strategy and overcoming limitations. The research conducted till now has covered areas such as theoretical and applied aspects of core science (physics, chemistry and mathematics), information and communication technology, electronics, electrical, artificial intelligence, material science, thermal sciences, machine design, manufacturing, product design, management, social sciences etc. The research projects have also acted as the training ground for the young graduates of our college

AIM:

  • To promote research in newly Emerging Frontier Areas of Science and Technology Including Multidisciplinary fields.
  • To encourage patenting of Innovative ideas.
  • To motivate students and faculty to Accomplish Innovative Projects.

OBJECTIVE :

  1. The objective of the Research Cell varies from the advancement of theoretical knowledge to development of new technology to solve practical problems.
  2. To explore the unaware and unlock new potentials.
  3. To ensure smooth and effective functioning of R&D activities.
  4. To provide a focal point in the institution to co-ordinate R&D activities between faculty members, legal experts and students.
  5. To create an awareness for both students and Staff to publish their work in Referenced Journals and Reputed Conference
  6. To Motivate all Talents to pursue research in their respective areas of expertise and to empower themselves

Function of R &D

  1. The Cell promotes socio legal oriented research.
  2. The Cell Organizes  periodical interactive session with Experts to Expertise in research filed
  3. To identify the potential areas of research in various disciplines of engineering and form the faculty into various clusters based on their specialization.
  4. To prepare and submit proposals to government agencies like AICTE, UGC, DST, IE(I) etc for obtaining funded projects.
  5. To encourage multi-disciplinary research internally within the institute and externally with other organizations.
  6. Encourage the staff to attend/publish papers in various National/International conferences of their specialized areas.
  7. To coordinate the research activities among the various departments of the college.
